The Wendigo Colossus is a new creature that has been introduced to Fallout 76 that came with the ‘Wastelanders Expansion’ and only showed up after nuking an area. But seeing as this is Fallout, they can be forgiven for not immediately cowering in a corner somewhere-actually, it's the screech that the Colossus emits that will scare you. It's not the mere fact that you are facing this hideous monstrosity that scares your character out of its wits-although it probably should.
